Vanilla Soaked Fried Bread Croquettes

- milk
- sugar
- vanilla extract
- grated dried breadcrumbs
- boiling fat for frying
- white sugar for dusting
Method
- 1 Cut leftover breads into quarters. Soak pieces in milk sweetened and flavored with vanilla for three hours.
- 2 Remove bread pieces and roll them briefly in grated dried breadcrumbs to coat evenly.
- 3 Dip bread pieces into boiling fat for a moment, similar to frying croquettes, until golden.
- 4 Sift white sugar over the hot fried bread and serve immediately.
