Vanilla Meringue Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 cup Crisco
- 1 cup flour
- 5 egg whites
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
Method
- 1 Cream Crisco and gradually add sugar, mixing thoroughly.
- 2 Incorporate egg whites one by one.
- 3 Add flour, salt, and vanilla; mix well.
- 4 Place small, long heaps on a greased baking sheet.
- 5 Bake in a cool oven (300°F) until pale brown.
