Vanilla Loaf Cake
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons shortening
- ¾ cup sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon flavoring extract
- ½ cup milk
- 1½ cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
Method
- 1 Cream shortening. Gradually add sugar and egg yolks beaten until thick.
- 2 Add flavoring extract. Sift together flour and baking powder.
- 3 Add flour mixture and milk alternately to the first mixture, a little at a time.
- 4 Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 35 to 45 minutes.
