Vanilla Gem Cakes
Ingredients
- 1 scant cup sugar
- 6 tablespoons Crisco
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
- 1 Cream Crisco and sugar together, then add well beaten eggs.
- 2 Sift dry ingredients, and add to first mixture alternately with milk.
- 3 Divide into greased and floured gem pans and bake in a moderately hot oven (350°F) for fifteen minutes.
