Vanilla Fig Sauce For Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 6 figs
- 1 cup hot water
- Granulated sugar, to taste
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Method
- 1 Add figs to hot water and cook briefly.
- 2 Add sugar to make a rich syrup and stew until figs are tender.
- 3 Let mixture cool completely, then stir in vanilla.
- 4 Pour sauce over ice cream and serve in glass cups with fig pieces.
