Vanilla Fig Sauce For Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 6 figs
  • 1 cup hot water
  • Granulated sugar, to taste
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

Method

  1. 1 Add figs to hot water and cook briefly.
  2. 2 Add sugar to make a rich syrup and stew until figs are tender.
  3. 3 Let mixture cool completely, then stir in vanilla.
  4. 4 Pour sauce over ice cream and serve in glass cups with fig pieces.
