Turkey Bacon Black Eyed Peas
Ingredients
- 2 slices turkey bacon, chopped
- 2 cups frozen black-eyed peas (about 2 pounds)
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Method
- 1 Place a pot over medium-high heat and cook chopped turkey bacon for 3-4 minutes.
- 2 Add the black-eyed peas, water, black pepper, and sugar to the pot.
- 3 Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer.
- 4 Cook until peas are tender, about 30 minutes.
- 5 Serve hot.
