Tuna Salad With Romaine Lettuce And Crackers
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole grain crackers
- 1 cup chopped romaine lettuce
- 1/4 cup chopped tomato
- 1 tablespoon chopped red onion
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
- 1 dash Italian seasoning
- 6 ounces black pepper
- 1/3 cup canned tuna in water, drained
- 1/4 cup low-fat mayonnaise
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated carrot
- green onion, chopped
Method
- 1 Wash hands with soap and water.
- 2 Toss lettuce, tomato, red onion, olive oil, vinegar, Italian seasoning, celery, carrot, and green onion in a large salad bowl.
- 3 In a separate bowl, mix the drained tuna with mayonnaise and black pepper.
- 4 Place the dressed greens on a large plate and top with a scoop of the tuna salad mixture.
- 5 Serve with whole grain crackers on the side.
