Tomato Onion Vermicelli Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons tinned tomatoes or 1 medium fresh tomato
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vermicelli
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 pint water

Method

  1. 1 Chop the onion and fry it until soft.
  2. 2 Add tomatoes, water, salt, and pepper. Boil for 5-10 minutes.
  3. 3 Drain the liquid, reserving the solids. Return solids to the pan.
  4. 4 Add vermicelli to the reserved liquid and return to the pan. Cook until vermicelli is soft.
  5. 5 Serve hot.
