Tomato Cream Soup
Ingredients
- 1/2 can strained tomatoes
- 1 quart milk
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Method
- 1 Heat milk in a double boiler.
- 2 Mix 1 tablespoon butter, cornstarch, salt, and pepper smoothly.
- 3 Add the hot milk slowly to the mixture and boil for ten minutes.
- 4 Stir in the remaining butter and strained tomatoes.
- 5 Serve immediately.
