Tomato Cream Soup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 can strained tomatoes
  • 1 quart milk
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Method

  1. 1 Heat milk in a double boiler.
  2. 2 Mix 1 tablespoon butter, cornstarch, salt, and pepper smoothly.
  3. 3 Add the hot milk slowly to the mixture and boil for ten minutes.
  4. 4 Stir in the remaining butter and strained tomatoes.
  5. 5 Serve immediately.
