Tomato And Onion Fish Stew
Ingredients
- 4 onions, sliced
- 6 tomatoes or red love-apples, sliced
- Fresh thyme
- Fresh winter savory
- Salad oil
- 1 cup vinegar
- Salt and pepper
- 4 pints water
- Fish, cut into pieces or slices
Method
- 1 Combine onions, tomatoes, thyme, savory, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and water in a saucepan.
- 2 Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes.
- 3 Add fish pieces and cook until just done.
- 4 Serve hot with crusts of bread or toast.
