Thinly Sliced Fried Potato Chips
Ingredients
- medium-sized white potatoes
- ice
- boiling fat (for frying)
- salt
Method
- 1 Peel potatoes and slice them very thin using a potato slicer if available.
- 2 Wash potatoes, cover with fresh water, and place a lump of ice on top. Let stand for one hour.
- 3 Drain in a colander and wipe dry with a towel.
- 4 Fry in boiling fat in small batches until brown and crisp, ensuring they do not stick together.
- 5 Drain on paper towels, sprinkle with salt, and serve.
