Thin Buttermilk Griddle Cakes
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 3 cups milk
- Flour (enough to make a thin batter)
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- ½ tsp baking soda
- Butter for greasing griddle
Method
- 1 Beat two eggs thoroughly in a large bowl.
- 2 Add salt, sugar, milk, cream of tartar, and baking soda.
- 3 Gradually add flour, mixing until a thin batter forms.
- 4 Heat a griddle and grease with butter.
- 5 Pour batter onto the griddle and bake until golden.
- 6 Serve very hot.
