Thin Butter Wafer Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 scant cups flour
- Optional: ginger, chopped nuts, whipped cream, berries
Method
- 1 Cream 1/3 cup butter and 1 cup powdered sugar until well combined.
- 2 Alternately add 1/2 cup milk and 2 scant cups flour, mixing until a stiff batter forms.
- 3 Spread the batter very thin onto a slightly greased baking tin.
- 4 Bake in a 300°F oven until light brown.
- 5 Remove from oven, place on the stovetop to cool slightly, then cut and roll into desired shapes.
