Thickened Stewed Tomatoes With Butter

- pepper
- salt
- 1 lump butter
- bread crumbs
Method
- 1 Wash tomatoes, pour boiling water over them, peel skins, and cut up.
- 2 Season with pepper and salt, add butter, and boil in own juice for 30 minutes.
- 3 Stir in bread crumbs to thicken, then cook slowly for 10 minutes until thickened.
