Swiss Roll With Preserves

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Extract of choice
  • Preserves for filling
  • Whipped cream for serving

Method

  1. 1 Beat egg yolks with sugar until creamy. Mix in milk, flour, baking powder, and extract.
  2. 2 Fold in beaten egg whites. Spread batter onto a hot, greased pan.
  3. 3 Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes until golden. Invert onto a wet cloth.
  4. 4 Trim edges, spread with preserves, and roll tightly in the cloth.
  5. 5 Let stand for 10 minutes, then slice and serve with whipped cream.
