Swiss Roll With Preserves
Ingredients
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Extract of choice
- Preserves for filling
- Whipped cream for serving
Method
- 1 Beat egg yolks with sugar until creamy. Mix in milk, flour, baking powder, and extract.
- 2 Fold in beaten egg whites. Spread batter onto a hot, greased pan.
- 3 Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes until golden. Invert onto a wet cloth.
- 4 Trim edges, spread with preserves, and roll tightly in the cloth.
- 5 Let stand for 10 minutes, then slice and serve with whipped cream.
