Swiss Roll With Jam And Whipped Cream
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup flour
- Butter for pan
- Thick jam or marmalade
- Sweetened whipped cream
- Vanilla extract
Method
- 1 Beat egg whites and yolks separately. Add 1 cup sugar to the whites and beat again.
- 2 Mix baking powder into flour. Add yolks to whites, then fold in flour mixture. Beat well.
- 3 Line a square pan with buttered paper. Pour in batter and bake until done.
- 4 Turn pudding onto a heated towel, buttered side up. Remove paper and spread with jam.
- 5 Roll up quickly, place in serving dish, and pour sweetened whipped cream flavored with vanilla over the top.
