Swiss Roll With Jam And Whipped Cream

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup flour
  • Butter for pan
  • Thick jam or marmalade
  • Sweetened whipped cream
  • Vanilla extract

Method

  1. 1 Beat egg whites and yolks separately. Add 1 cup sugar to the whites and beat again.
  2. 2 Mix baking powder into flour. Add yolks to whites, then fold in flour mixture. Beat well.
  3. 3 Line a square pan with buttered paper. Pour in batter and bake until done.
  4. 4 Turn pudding onto a heated towel, buttered side up. Remove paper and spread with jam.
  5. 5 Roll up quickly, place in serving dish, and pour sweetened whipped cream flavored with vanilla over the top.
