Sweetened Milk French Toast
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup
- 1 egg, beaten
- leftover bread
- small amount of fat
- marmalade, jelly, coconut, or preserves
Method
- 1 Whisk together milk, corn syrup, and beaten egg in a shallow dish.
- 2 Dip slices of leftover bread into the mixture, coating both sides.
- 3 Heat a small amount of fat in a frying pan over medium heat.
- 4 Cook bread slices until browned on both sides.
- 5 Spread with marmalade, jelly, coconut, or preserves and serve.
