Sweet Potato Apple Bake With Pecans
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups canned sweet potatoes, drained (save 2 tablespoons of the liquid)
- 2 cups apples, peeled, cored, and cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
- 1/3 cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, or any other type)
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted (unsalted)
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Place drained sweet potatoes in a baking dish and add the apple pieces.
- 2 Pour the reserved 2 tablespoons of sweet potato liquid over the potatoes and apples.
- 3 In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, chopped nuts, flour, and melted butter until combined.
- 4 Sprinkle the topping evenly over the sweet potato and apple mixture.
- 5 Bake for 20 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
