Sweet Pickled Beets

Ingredients

  • Beets
  • 1 quart vinegar
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Method

  1. 1 Boil beets until tender enough to pierce with a fork.
  2. 2 Transfer beets to cold water, peel off skins, and slice.
  3. 3 Boil vinegar and brown sugar together.
  4. 4 Add sliced beets, salt, and pepper; boil for 5-10 minutes.
  5. 5 Place beets in cans and seal tightly.
