Sweet Pickled Beets
Ingredients
- Beets
- 1 quart vinegar
- 2 cups brown sugar
- Salt
- Pepper
Method
- 1 Boil beets until tender enough to pierce with a fork.
- 2 Transfer beets to cold water, peel off skins, and slice.
- 3 Boil vinegar and brown sugar together.
- 4 Add sliced beets, salt, and pepper; boil for 5-10 minutes.
- 5 Place beets in cans and seal tightly.
