Sweet Corn Fritters
Ingredients
- 1/2 can sweet corn
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 pint milk
- 1/2 oz fine wheatmeal
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- Oil or butter for frying
Method
- 1 Make a batter by mixing wheatmeal, milk, and well-beaten eggs.
- 2 Stir in the sweet corn, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- 3 Heat oil or butter in a frying pan until hot.
- 4 Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot fat and fry until golden brown.
- 5 Serve with lemon slices or tomato sauce.
