Sweet Corn Bread Loaf

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup yellow corn meal
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp melted fat

Method

  1. 1 Mix and sift the corn meal, flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  2. 2 Add the milk and well-beaten egg, then stir in the melted fat.
  3. 3 Pour into a well-greased loaf pan.
  4. 4 Bake in a hot oven (425°F) for about 30 minutes.
