Sweet Corn Bread Loaf
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup yellow corn meal
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp melted fat
Method
- 1 Mix and sift the corn meal, flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
- 2 Add the milk and well-beaten egg, then stir in the melted fat.
- 3 Pour into a well-greased loaf pan.
- 4 Bake in a hot oven (425°F) for about 30 minutes.
