Sweet Barley Milk
Ingredients
- 1 cup hulled barley
- 4 cups almond milk
- Sugar to taste
- Pinch of salt
Method
- 1 Wash and boil the barley in water until very tender, similar to cooking for farina.
- 2 Drain the cooked barley and grind it into a smooth paste using a mortar or food processor.
- 3 Transfer the barley paste to a clean pot and stir in the almond milk until fully combined.
- 4 Simmer the mixture, adding sugar and a pinch of salt to taste, until heated through.
