Swedish Pancakes With Jam

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ tablespoon oil
  • butter
  • jam or jelly
  • sugar

Method

  1. 1 Beat egg yolks and whites separately, then mix together.
  2. 2 Add salt, sugar, and half the milk; stir in flour to make a smooth paste.
  3. 3 Add remaining milk and oil; beat well and let stand for at least one hour.
  4. 4 Bake on a hot griddle in cakes of desired size.
  5. 5 Spread each cake with butter and jam or jelly, then roll up.
  6. 6 Sprinkle with sugar and serve immediately.
