  • 5 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 cup fresh milk
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch vanilla extract
  • 2 oz unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 egg whites
  • Butter for baking sheet
  • Granulated sugar for dusting

Method

  1. 1 In a bowl, mix flour, egg yolks, sugar, milk, salt, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. 2 Stir in the melted butter.
  3. 3 Whip egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gently fold them into the batter.
  4. 4 Butter a baking sheet and spread batter thinly. Bake until golden yellow.
  5. 5 Remove and dust immediately with sugar while warm.
