Stuffed Baked Mushrooms With Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 dozen mushrooms
  • 1 ounce butter
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. 1 Peel the mushrooms and remove part of the stalks. Ensure they are clean and free from insects.
  2. 2 Place the mushrooms stalk-side up in a flat baking dish. Add the water to the dish.
  3. 3 Place a small piece of butter in the center of each mushroom. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. 4 Cover the dish and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 20 to 30 minutes.
  5. 5 Serve the mushrooms very hot.
