Stuffed Baked Mushrooms With Butter
Ingredients
- 1 dozen mushrooms
- 1 ounce butter
- 2 tablespoons water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- 1 Peel the mushrooms and remove part of the stalks. Ensure they are clean and free from insects.
- 2 Place the mushrooms stalk-side up in a flat baking dish. Add the water to the dish.
- 3 Place a small piece of butter in the center of each mushroom. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 4 Cover the dish and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 20 to 30 minutes.
- 5 Serve the mushrooms very hot.
