Method

  1. 1 Wash artichokes and trim the hard top part of the leaves.
  2. 2 Widen the leaves and insert a stuffing of bread crumbs, parsley, salt, pepper, and oil.
  3. 3 Place artichokes upright in a saucepan, touching each other.
  4. 4 Cover with water and cook for two hours or more until leaves detach easily.
