Stuffed Artichoke Hearts
Ingredients
- 12 artichokes
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup butter
- Pinch of salt
- Red and black pepper to taste
- Breadcrumbs (optional)
Method
- 1 Boil artichokes until tender. Let them cool completely.
- 2 Scrape the leaves and remove the hearts. Chop the hearts finely.
- 3 Mix chopped hearts with Worcestershire sauce, egg, butter, salt, and pepper. Add breadcrumbs if desired.
- 4 Roll mixture into balls and place back into the artichoke hearts. Top each with a small piece of butter.
- 5 Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes.
