Stuffed Artichoke Hearts

Ingredients

  • 12 artichokes
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • Red and black pepper to taste
  • Breadcrumbs (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Boil artichokes until tender. Let them cool completely.
  2. 2 Scrape the leaves and remove the hearts. Chop the hearts finely.
  3. 3 Mix chopped hearts with Worcestershire sauce, egg, butter, salt, and pepper. Add breadcrumbs if desired.
  4. 4 Roll mixture into balls and place back into the artichoke hearts. Top each with a small piece of butter.
  5. 5 Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes.
