Strawberry Nutmeg Custards
Ingredients
- 6 berries (such as strawberries or raspberries)
- 2 cups milk
- 6 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 eggs
Method
- 1 Place six berries into each custard cup.
- 2 In a mixing bowl, beat together milk, sugar, nutmeg, and eggs until thoroughly mixed.
- 3 Pour the egg mixture over the berries in the cups.
- 4 Place cups in a baking pan containing warm water.
- 5 Bake in a slow oven (300°F) until firm in the center.
