Strawberry Bread Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh strawberries
- 1 cup stale bread, grated
- Sugar, to taste
- Butter, in small bits
- Heavy cream, for serving
Method
- 1 Prepare a baking dish by layering half the strawberries, sprinkling with sugar, then adding half the bread crumbs. Dot with bits of butter.
- 2 Add the remaining strawberries and sugar, followed by the rest of the bread crumbs. Dot with more butter and sprinkle a little sugar on top.
- 3 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly. Serve immediately with cream.
