Strawberry Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup stale bread, grated
  • Sugar, to taste
  • Butter, in small bits
  • Heavy cream, for serving

Method

  1. 1 Prepare a baking dish by layering half the strawberries, sprinkling with sugar, then adding half the bread crumbs. Dot with bits of butter.
  2. 2 Add the remaining strawberries and sugar, followed by the rest of the bread crumbs. Dot with more butter and sprinkle a little sugar on top.
  3. 3 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly. Serve immediately with cream.
