Stovetop Egg Custard
Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup milk
Method
- 1 Beat eggs, sugar, and salt together in a pitcher or heatproof jar.
- 2 Stir in milk until well combined.
- 3 Place the pitcher in a pot of boiling water (bain-marie).
- 4 Stir constantly until the custard thickens, about 5-10 minutes.
- 5 Remove from heat and stir until nearly cool to prevent skin formation.
