Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup milk

Method

  1. 1 Beat eggs, sugar, and salt together in a pitcher or heatproof jar.
  2. 2 Stir in milk until well combined.
  3. 3 Place the pitcher in a pot of boiling water (bain-marie).
  4. 4 Stir constantly until the custard thickens, about 5-10 minutes.
  5. 5 Remove from heat and stir until nearly cool to prevent skin formation.
