Stiff Rye Bread
Ingredients
- 1 cake yeast
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/3 cup tepid water
- 1 cup white flour
- Rye flour (enough to make a stiff dough)
Method
- 1 Dissolve yeast, sugar, and salt in tepid water.
- 2 Stir in white flour until smooth, then add rye flour to form a stiff dough.
- 3 Knead thoroughly for 15 minutes and let rise.
- 4 Shape into a loaf, place in a bread pan, and bake.
