Stewed Tomatoes With Butter
Ingredients
- 12 tomatoes
- 1 ounce butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Method
- 1 Pour boiling water over tomatoes, then place in cold water for 30 seconds to loosen skins. Remove skins.
- 2 Slice tomatoes into quarters with a sharp knife.
- 3 Melt butter in a stewpan, add tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Stew gently for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
