Stewed Scallops With Orange Butter Sauce
Ingredients
- Scallops in the shell
- 1 cup white wine
- 1 cup water
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp elder vinegar
- 2-3 whole cloves
- 1 piece large mace
- 1 tbsp sweet herbs, chopped
- Butter, melted
- Juice of 2-3 oranges
Method
- 1 Boil scallops in white wine, water, and salt until cooked. Remove from shells.
- 2 Stew scallops with reserved liquor, elder vinegar, cloves, mace, and chopped sweet herbs until well combined.
- 3 Arrange scallops in shells, top with beaten butter and orange juice, and serve.
