Stewed Quinces and Apples
Ingredients
- 1 quart sweet apples
- 1 pint quinces
- 1 pound sugar
- 1 cup water
Method
- 1 Wash, peel, core, and quarter the apples and quinces.
- 2 Add sugar to water and bring to a rapid boil.
- 3 Add quinces and cook until partly softened.
- 4 Add apples and cook until both fruits are tender.
- 5 Remove from heat, cool, and serve.
