Steeped Camomile Tea With Ginger

Ingredients

  • 30 camomile flowers
  • 1 pint boiling water
  • Sugar or honey to taste
  • 1 large dessert-spoonful moist sugar (optional)
  • Grated ginger (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Place 30 camomile flowers into a jug.
  2. 2 Pour 1 pint of boiling water over the flowers.
  3. 3 Cover the jug and let it steep for 10 minutes.
  4. 4 Strain the liquid into another jug, discarding the flowers.
  5. 5 Sweeten with sugar or honey to taste.
  6. 6 Serve warm, optionally with a dessert-spoonful of sugar and grated ginger.
