Steamed Vermicelli Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 pint milk
- Lemon peel
- Cinnamon
- Loaf sugar to taste
- ¼ pound vermicelli
- 5 egg yolks
- 3 egg whites
Method
- 1 Boil milk with lemon peel and cinnamon. Sweeten with sugar, then strain through a sieve.
- 2 Add vermicelli to the hot milk and boil for 10 minutes.
- 3 Remove from heat and mix in egg yolks and whites until well combined.
- 4 Steam for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
