Steamed Veal and Ham Macaroni Loaf
Ingredients
- ¾ lb cold veal
- 3 oz ham
- 1 tbsp gravy
- salt and pepper
- a little nutmeg
- ¼ lb bread crumbs
- 1 well-beaten egg
- boiled macaroni
- brown gravy
Method
- 1 Mince the cold veal and ham. Wet the mixture with 1 tbsp of gravy.
- 2 Season with salt, pepper, and a little nutmeg. Add bread crumbs and a well-beaten egg.
- 3 Butter a mould and line it with boiled macaroni. Mix more macaroni into the veal mixture.
- 4 Fill the mould, place a plate on top, and steam for 30 minutes.
- 5 Turn out carefully and pour brown gravy around it.
