Steamed Veal and Ham Macaroni Loaf

Ingredients

  • ¾ lb cold veal
  • 3 oz ham
  • 1 tbsp gravy
  • salt and pepper
  • a little nutmeg
  • ¼ lb bread crumbs
  • 1 well-beaten egg
  • boiled macaroni
  • brown gravy

Method

  1. 1 Mince the cold veal and ham. Wet the mixture with 1 tbsp of gravy.
  2. 2 Season with salt, pepper, and a little nutmeg. Add bread crumbs and a well-beaten egg.
  3. 3 Butter a mould and line it with boiled macaroni. Mix more macaroni into the veal mixture.
  4. 4 Fill the mould, place a plate on top, and steam for 30 minutes.
  5. 5 Turn out carefully and pour brown gravy around it.
