Steamed Rosewater Almond Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup rosewater
  • 1 pint milk
  • 3 oz ground almonds
  • sugar to taste
  • 4 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 oz butter, oiled

Method

  1. 1 Mix breadcrumbs, rosewater, milk, ground almonds, sugar, and beaten eggs.
  2. 2 Let the mixture soak for 30 minutes.
  3. 3 Turn into a buttered mold.
  4. 4 Steam the pudding for 1.5 to 2 hours.
