  • oysters in the shell
  • melted butter, lightly seasoned
  • celery
  • slice of lemon

Method

  1. 1 Scrub oysters in the shell and place in a colander over a pot of boiling water.
  2. 2 Cover closely until shells open and oysters start to curl.
  3. 3 Remove from steamer, lift off the flat shell, and serve in the deep shell with melted butter, celery, and a slice of lemon.
