Steamed Oatmeal Sago Pudding With Raisins

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Allinson breakfast oats
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 oz soaked sago
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 oz sultanas
  • 2 oz currants
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • sugar to taste
  • 1 oz butter

Method

  1. 1 Mix the oats with the soaked sago in a bowl.
  2. 2 Add the beaten eggs, fruit, sugar, butter, cinnamon, and milk; stir well to combine.
  3. 3 Butter a pudding mould and pour the mixture into it.
  4. 4 Cover the mould with a cloth and steam the pudding for 3 hours.
