Steamed Macaroni And Cheese Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb macaroni
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 pint heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup minced cooked white meat (chicken or turkey)
  • 1/2 cup minced boiled ham
  • 3 tbsp grated cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for greasing

Method

  1. 1 Boil macaroni in salted water until tender but not broken. Drain well.
  2. 2 Beat egg yolks and whites with cream. Mince white meat and ham finely.
  3. 3 Combine macaroni, meats, cheese, and egg mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. 4 Grease a mold with butter. Pour in mixture and steam in boiling water for 1 hour.
  5. 5 Unmold and serve with rich gravy.
