Steamed Lemon Sago Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 lb breadcrumbs
- 3 eggs
- 3 lemons
- 2 oz sago
- 1 pint milk
- 2 oz butter
- 8 oz sugar
Method
- 1 Soak sago in milk over heat until thickened.
- 2 Stir in butter until dissolved.
- 3 Mix in breadcrumbs, sugar, lemon juice, and grated rind.
- 4 Beat eggs and combine with the mixture.
- 5 Pour into greased pudding basins and steam for 2 hours.
