  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup Porto Rico molasses
  • 1 cup raisins, stoned and slightly chopped
  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Nutmeg, to taste
  • 1 pinch salt
  • White flour, for dusting raisins
  • Butter, for greasing mold
  • 1 egg, beaten with milk (for frying leftover slices)
  • Butter, for frying

Method

  1. 1 Dust the chopped raisins with a little white flour to prevent them from sticking.
  2. 2 Mix graham flour, milk, molasses, raisins, egg, soda, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and salt thoroughly.
  3. 3 Butter a pudding mold, pour in the batter, and steam for 3 hours.
