Steamed Cobnut And Breadcrumb Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 lb breadcrumbs
- 6 oz ground cobnuts
- 2 oz butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 small onion, chopped very fine
- 1 pinch mixed herbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Milk, as needed
Method
- 1 Mix breadcrumbs, ground cobnuts, butter, eggs, chopped onion, mixed herbs, salt, and pepper thoroughly.
- 2 Add enough milk to smoothly moisten the mixture without making it soupy.
- 3 Turn the mixture into a buttered bread tin.
- 4 Steam for 2.5 to 3 hours.
- 5 Turn out onto a plate and serve with brown sauce.
