  • 1 cup cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method

  1. 1 Melt butter or margarine in a heavy saucepan or skillet over low heat.
  2. 2 Add shredded cabbage, salt, and pepper. Pour in water.
  3. 3 Cover with a tight-fitting lid to trap steam.
  4. 4 Cook over low heat for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.
