Steamed Cabbage With Lemon
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 teaspoons butter or margarine
- 1 cup cabbage, finely shredded
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Method
- 1 Melt butter or margarine in a heavy saucepan or skillet over low heat.
- 2 Add shredded cabbage, salt, and pepper. Pour in water.
- 3 Cover with a tight-fitting lid to trap steam.
- 4 Cook over low heat for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.
- 5 Remove from heat, stir in lemon juice, and serve.
