Steak And Giblet Pie
Ingredients
- Giblets (excluding liver)
- 1 rump steak
- 1 onion
- Whole peppercorns
- Sweet herbs
- Salt
- Puff pastry
Method
- 1 Clean giblets (except liver). Place in a saucepan with water, onion, peppercorns, sweet herbs, and salt.
- 2 Cover and stew giblets until tender. Reserve the cooking liquid.
- 3 Season the rump steak with pepper and salt.
- 4 Line a pie dish with puff pastry. Add the steak, then the stewed giblets and liver.
- 5 Pour in the reserved cooking liquid. Close the pie and bake for two hours.
- 6 When done, pour in additional gravy if desired.
