  • 2 sponge cakes
  • 1/2 cup custard
  • Jam
  • Ratafia biscuits
  • 1/2 oz chopped almonds

Method

  1. 1 Cut the sponge cakes in half and arrange them in a pie dish.
  2. 2 Spread the cake layers with jam, then sprinkle crumbled ratafias and chopped almonds between the pieces.
  3. 3 Pour the custard over the cake layers and let it soak for half an hour before serving.
