Sponge Cake Trifle With Custard And Almonds
Ingredients
- 2 sponge cakes
- 1/2 cup custard
- Jam
- Ratafia biscuits
- 1/2 oz chopped almonds
Method
- 1 Cut the sponge cakes in half and arrange them in a pie dish.
- 2 Spread the cake layers with jam, then sprinkle crumbled ratafias and chopped almonds between the pieces.
- 3 Pour the custard over the cake layers and let it soak for half an hour before serving.
