Spinach Beef Patties With Brown Rice
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey (93% lean)
- 16 ounces frozen chopped spinach (or 2 bunches fresh)
- 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Black pepper to taste
- 3 cups cooked brown rice
Method
- 1 Preheat a large frying pan over medium heat without oil.
- 2 In a large bowl, combine ground meat, spinach, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- 3 Form the mixture into 12 small balls, then flatten them into patties using a spatula.
- 4 Place patties in the hot pan and cook until browned and cooked through on both sides.
- 5 Serve the meat cakes over a bed of cooked brown rice.
