Spiced Sugar Shortbread Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 lb sugar
- 3 lbs finest flour
- 1 nutmeg, grated
- Cinnamon, to taste
- 3 eggs
- Melted butter, as needed
Method
- 1 Sift the sugar and grated nutmeg and cinnamon into the flour.
- 2 Add the eggs and enough melted butter to form a thick paste.
- 3 Knead the dough well, then roll it out.
- 4 Cut into desired shapes, prick with a fork, and bake in a moderate oven (350°F).
