Spiced Rose And Brandy Cordial
Ingredients
- 1 lb red rose leaves
- 1 quart lukewarm water
- 1 pint rose infusion
- 1 pint white brandy
- ½ lb loaf sugar
- small amount coriander
- small amount cinnamon
Method
- 1 Infuse rose leaves in lukewarm water for two days in a covered vessel.
- 2 Squeeze the mixture through a linen bag to extract all liquid.
- 3 Combine the rose infusion with an equal amount of white brandy.
- 4 Add sugar, coriander, and cinnamon to a pint of the infusion.
- 5 Let the mixture set in a jug for two weeks.
- 6 Filter through blotting paper and bottle.
